Name Days

There's a rather strange custom of naming every day in Sweden after people. Usually each day of the year has a boy's name, and a girl's name. Last Saturday was "Sylvia" day, which happens to be the Queen's name. So there was the usual flag raising, canon firing. That seems to occur every other week. I'm not sure of the significance of name days. You don't seem to get a present, or a party. Nothing like that. And of course, if your parents were weird enough to name you Moonbeam, or Rainbow, then you're right out of luck.
